Free Initial Consultation
Every new client must have a one-on-one complimentary consultation. This is where we will discuss goals and the best path for your dog’s health. This will also allow us to create the RDR Fitness Plan for your dog…always putting safety first.

RunDogRun Sessions
We come to your home and pick-up your dog(s) for a 60-minute session.
Individual programs may include elements of the following:
Warm-up, Jogging / Running / Interval training / Biking, Cool down, Stretching, Massage, Strength Training, Tummy Rubs, Basic Obedience practice…and More!

Dogs are exercised at their own pace. We run for time, not distance. Interval training can be incorporated as it strengthens your dog's heart and lungs which, in-turn allows for increased fitness over your dogs lifetime.

Clean up / Water / Treats / Basic Obedience Practice
While your dog is in our care, we will always pick up after your dog and clean up any messes both in and outside of the home. Water will always be available for your dog and we will replenish the water dish before we leave.  If you would like to provide treats for your dog, we would be happy to give them out, as well as, practice basic obedience skills.

Daily Paws Checklist
After every RunDogRun Session, we will complete the Daily Paws Checklist of your dog's exercise, progress and details of the visit.  Clients are always welcome to contact us to follow-up.

RDR 4-Point Safety Checklist Includes
1. Appropriate stretching to prevent post-training soreness or stiffness
2. Paw pad inspection prior, during and after each run
3. Hydration check
4. Nails trimmed to proper size

If your dog shows any signs of being uncomfortable we will stop the session immediately.

Weather
RunDogRun is open rain, snow or shine.  We will adjust fitness sessions according to the weather, always keeping safety as a priority.

If for any reason we determine it is unsafe to run during a scheduled appointment, we will re-schedule for a mutually agreeable time.

Special Needs
If your dog is socially challenged, older, or has another type of special concern, we are happy to come and assess your dog to determine if this type of program would be beneficial, as well as safe to implement. In some cases consultation with a trainer or veterinarian may be recommended to insure your dog’s health and safety.

RunDogRun "Sample" Exercises:

Stretching
Some example stretches are:
  • The Cookie Stretch which stretches the spine and neck in all directions
  • The Cat Stretch works to flex all the joints in the back (dogs absolutely love this one)
  • The Spine Stretch works the muscles next to the spine for ease of movement
When we complete a fitness session we stretch the limbs through Passive Range of Motion techniques. These stretches help to ensure that your dog's muscles are loose and relaxed. They are used in conjunction with a work-out to achieve the best results and to greatly reduce any chance for injury.

Strength Training
Some example strength training exercises are:
  • Digging is a great way to strengthen core body muscles, front legs, and rear leg stabilizers (don’t worry we can bring our own sand bucket to dig in)
  • High Five and Wave work the shoulders and upper arm muscles
  • The Snoopy is great for the trunk muscles, spine muscles, and abdomen
  • Rocker Board exercises will strengthen all the stabilizer muscles in the limbs
These are just some of the strength training exercises we perform to help increase your dogs performance.
